Mr. Brown is former Chairman of the NASDAQ Stock Market Board of Directors, a former governor of the National Association of Securities Dealers, and former Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Microsoft Corporation, where he was responsible for the company’s worldwide information technology, manufacturing and operations, finance, and business development organizations.
Prior to joining Microsoft, he worked 18 years for the accounting firm Deloitte & Touche LLP, where he served as Managing Partner of the firm’s Seattle Emerging Companies Practice and their Bellevue practice office.
Mr. Brown is a director of VMWare, Inc., Insperity, Inc., and EMC Corporation. Mr. Brown also serves or has served as a director, trustee, of several private businesses and civic or charitable organizations.
Mr. Brown holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Washington in Seattle.
